I've become increasingly aware of how detrimentally boring this place can be. Surely there must be something in this blasted city to do. The least they could do is provide some bloody entertainment.
[Poor boy's read damn near every book in the manor.]
So I was thinking. I've yet to discover a game I couldn't beat someone in. And there simply must be all sorts of games where you lot are from...
Who's up for a challenge? [And that would be a slightly arrogant smirk he's got. Little bugger's got some spunk.]

.. Sorry?

You've lost me. I can only assume this is some sort of... technological game I'm rather unfamiliar with.

I should like to see this puzzle computer...

I'd say a handheld system like the Nintendo DS would be best for a handheld, since their puzzle games are rather challenging.

Your knowledge on this is quite expansive...

Perhaps this video game will change that?

I'd actually recommend a game called Tetris. It's a game challenging you to organize falling blocks as quickly as possible; the speed increases at each level. I've only reached level 13 or so.

In the least, I shall look into it.

Otherwise, yes. Cards, chess... those sorts of things.
[ video ]
[ He pauses. ]
.. I'm not sure how much of a challenge it will be though.
[ video ]
Certainly can't do any harm now, can it? You've really no idea the extent of this boredom.
[ video ]
Like I said, I wouldn't mind. Whatever you want to play is fine with me.

[ He thinks for a moment. ]
.. I dunno, all kinds of games. Board games... video games... card games... The normal kind. Why, what kind of games did you have?
[ video ]
Any of that spark your interest?

[ Then Ciel could probably beat poor Enma in 3. ]

[like DDR. Do you wanna play DDR with a catgirl, Ciel?]

Arcade, you say? I don't believe I've visited that establishment...
voice; locked
Hey, I've got a challenge for you, if you're up for it.
voice; locked
You've perked my interests... What have you got?
voice; locked
... Y'know that curfew they've got going on in the city lately?
Re: voice; locked
Handle? I would think so. [He smirks, listening.]
Ah, yes, this curfew. What of it?
voice; locked
So I met this guy who says he knows what this curfew thing is all about. He was going to give me more information, but he wanted me to meet him after this curfew in the plaza tonight.
Well it doesn't take a detective to figure out how potentially unsafe that sounds -- so I bowed out. I think the guy was playing a game with me -- but I dunno, he sounded pretty serious.
I figure you might be interested, since you seem up for this sort of thing. Ah, but it's still possibly dangerous, so I understand if you're not up for the challenge.
[ yes, everything he just said is bullshit because he's curious about what happens to someone when they break curfew. ]
voice; locked
So why me? [He tilts his head off to the side slightly.] Surely sending a thirteen year old to investigate is an... interesting decision...
[And then a subtle smirk.]
I'll do it. [And just as a show of boyish ego, he'll take the piece of coral from his pocket and chuck it in the nearest wastebin for Adachi to see.]
voice; locked
[ that is...one impressive ego. slow claps, ciel. ]
Hope it cures your boredom a bit, kid.
Ah, and let me know how things turn out, alright?
Re: voice; locked
I'm certain it will.
I shall contact you after it's done to tell you about it.
video;
Ya bored of books?! [The Bookman is mildly distraught]
...Maaaah, what 'bout memory games, sprout?
video;
When you've read then all? Yes.
[But hm. Memory, huh?] What do you propose?
video;
Maaah, I think when ya reread books, ya always get somethin' else out of 'em, yeah?
Mmm, I know some basic memory card games, if you're intrested? Dunno how we'd play it in video though. Or we can play "Reverse gear". [A smirk] Although that one's pretty simple...
video;
Reverse gear, you say? [Hm, interesting...]
woah. i'm back with this guy? what the hell happened? xD;
It's impossible ta gather everything the first time, ya know? Even Bookmen have to go over information more than once to absorb it all from different angles.
[A sigh.] Maaah, kids.
Yep. Reverse gear. Ya think of a number. Has ta be of 5 numbers or more. Ya tell me that number. Then we talk. Completely off topic.
Then I ask ya to recall the same five digit number ta me. Backwards. [He gave a lopsided smirk.]
Re: woah. i'm back with this guy? what the hell happened? xD;
[Yup. Bratty kids.]
Fine. 83470.
Begin.

[He sighed, a smirk of his own playing on his lips.]
Mah mah. 83470. Alright.
So, kid. Where is it that you're from, ah?
no subject
[Ciel smirks softly.] Was it not supposed to be backwards? That would make it 07438.

...If you wish to seek out ways to busy yourself, I can surely arrange something. Just say the word. [Of course, you get the B) look]
[A smirk now, bored, and asking only for the sake of
pretendingto be a butler.] If you wish for more books, I can pay a visit to the bookstores in this world.no subject
We are a collaboration here after all...
... [Ping! A thought!]
What about demon games? [That would be a subtle smirk~!]
